"In April, The Hollow hit. I started obsessing over this kernel of an idea that had something to do with The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. And every time I thought about it, it grew. Within days, I had to carry around a little notebook wherever I went because bits and pieces of this story would worm their way into my brain. (Usually while I was at work.)I knew that this story, this town, was mine when I heard Abbey's voice in my head."
